Scope and considerations

Designed for

  • LipidFinder processes previously extracted lipidomics feature tables, removes artifacts, optionally combines polarities and searches lipid databases. This canonical entry includes version 2.0.

Not designed for

  • Shotgun lipidomics, low-resolution data or definitive MS/MS structure identification.

Important requirements

  • High-resolution LC-MS data processed into feature tables upstream, with suitable chromatographic separation.
  • Python dependencies and documented column/parameter preparation.

Considerations

  • Database mass matches are putative; inspect filtering and confirm identities with additional evidence.
