Scope and considerations
Designed for
- PaintOmics maps processed metabolite and other omics measurements onto KEGG, Reactome and MapMan pathways for integrated enrichment and visualization.
Not designed for
- Raw MS processing or confirmation of metabolite identities.
Important requirements
- Processed measurements with mapped identifiers and compatible experimental conditions across omics layers.
- A supported organism/pathway database; ambiguous metabolite mappings require review.
Considerations
- This entry describes the published pathway-analysis core. The current release adds an AI interpretation agent; that extension was not independently validated here.
- Enrichment and pathway co-occurrence do not demonstrate causal regulation or metabolic flux.
Access and documentation
GPL-3.0 license verified in the official repository. External pathway databases and optional AI services have separate terms; no service execution test.
